About Peter Watson Garage in Skipton

Peter Watson Garage has been part of the Skipton community since 1960. What started as a family business has remained exactly that, passed from father to son, and built over six decades on the values that still define us today: honest advice, quality workmanship, and genuine care for every customer who walks through the door.

A workshop built for modern vehicles

In 2017, we redeveloped our workshop into a purpose-built facility designed around the demands of today’s vehicles and today’s customers. The workshop features 10 ramps, a dedicated MOT lane, a wheel alignment bay, dealer-specific diagnostics tools, and a tyre fitting facility, staffed by seven qualified technicians. We’re also one of a relatively small number of independent garages with fully trained EV technicians.

Accredited, trusted, and properly qualified

We hold accreditations with HEVRA, the IGA, the IMI, the RMI, and Trust My Garage, and we’re a recognised DPF Doctor centre. As a Castrol Certified Service workshop, we use quality-assured lubricants and original equipment parts as standard across all servicing work. These affiliations represent our ongoing commitment to training, standards, and accountability, and they mean you can bring your vehicle to us with confidence, whether it’s in or out of manufacturer warranty.

We’ve invested in the workshop, but we’ve also invested in making Peter Watson Garage a place people are comfortable visiting. The reception area is welcoming, the waiting lounge is well-stocked with refreshments and Wi-Fi, and there’s ample parking on site. For those who need it, we offer car collection and delivery within the local area, along with courtesy cars and vans to keep you moving while your vehicle is with us.

We’re located less than a five-minute walk from Skipton town centre and around ten minutes from the train station, making it easy to drop off and head into town while we get on with the work.
